Cervical cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed gynaecological cancer worldwide after breast cancer.  an estimated 527,600 new cases of cervical cancer were reported worldwide in 2012, with around 265,700 deaths. Approximately 90% of cervical cancer deaths occurred in developing parts of the world.
